SMS Consent Process

Last updated: April 2026

How We Collect SMS Consent

Perpetual Concierge operates AI voice agents on behalf of small businesses. These agents handle inbound phone calls 24/7. In some cases, the agent sends a single transactional SMS to the caller (for example, a photo upload link so the business owner can review items before a visit).

Before any SMS is sent, the AI agent verbally obtains explicit consent from the caller during the live call. The caller must agree before any message is transmitted. No SMS is ever sent without this verbal confirmation.

Verbal Consent Script

The following script (or a functionally equivalent version) is delivered by the AI agent to every caller before an SMS is sent:

"Before I send you a text message, I want to let you know that by continuing, you agree to receive an SMS from us containing a photo upload link. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Do you agree to receive this message?"

The agent waits for an affirmative verbal response before proceeding. If the caller does not consent or does not respond affirmatively, no SMS is sent.

Nature of Messages Sent

All SMS messages sent through this system are transactional — they are directly triggered by and related to the inbound phone call. Message types include:

No marketing, promotional, or bulk messages are sent through this system.

Opt-Out

Callers may reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages. Reply HELP for assistance. Message frequency is limited to one per call interaction.
